Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation time is counted from 10:00 AM on the check-in date.

Changing dates

You can change your dates once for free if you ask at least 72 hours before check-in, subject to availability. Any difference in room rate must be paid.

Cancellation by the hotel

If we cannot honour your booking, you get a 100% refund or the option to rebook.

Peak season and special dates

Bookings for festivals, long weekends and special events may be non-refundable. This is shown clearly at the time of booking.

How to cancel

Call or WhatsApp +91 98356 20220 or +91 93346 47881 with your booking ID. Cancellation time is counted from when we receive your request.

How refunds are paid

  • Refunds go to the original payment method (card, UPI or net banking) used at booking.
  • We start the refund within 2 working days of approving the cancellation.
  • It reaches your account in 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank.
  • Payment gateway charges, if any, are not refundable.

Early departure

No refund is given for unused nights if you check out early.

Bihar is a dry state. Liquor and all intoxicants are strictly prohibited at Hotel Vijay, in rooms, in common areas, in parking and in vehicles on our premises.

Liquor Policy (Bihar Prohibition)

Under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016, it is an offence to manufacture, bottle, distribute, transport, store, possess, buy, sell or consume liquor or any intoxicating substance anywhere in Bihar. This also applies to guests from other states and countries, even if liquor is legal where you live.

What this means for our guests

  • We do not serve, sell, arrange or allow liquor, and we do not allow other intoxicants or drugs.
  • Do not bring liquor or intoxicants into the hotel, even sealed bottles in luggage or vehicles.
  • Persons who appear drunk or under the influence may be refused entry or check-in.
  • Do not ask our staff to bring, buy or arrange liquor from outside.

If this policy is broken

  • The guest may be asked to leave immediately. No refund is given for the booking.
  • We must follow the law and may inform the police or excise authorities. The guest is responsible for any legal action, arrest, fine or imprisonment under the Act.
  • The hotel is not responsible for any consequences faced by a guest who breaks this law.
  • Authorities may inspect premises as the law allows, and we will co-operate fully with them.

ID proof

  • A valid government photo ID is required for every adult and for children aged 5 and above (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence, voter ID).
  • Foreign guests must show their passport and valid visa. We submit the required details to the authorities as the law requires.
  • We may refuse check-in if valid ID is not shown.

Room occupancy

  • Non-AC and AC rooms: up to 3 guests, or 2 adults with 2 children aged 4 or under.
  • Family rooms: for 4 to 6 adults. Children aged 5 and above count as adults.
  • Extra guests beyond these limits cannot be accommodated in the same room.

Payment

Pay securely online through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking) when booking, or pay at the hotel where this option is shown. Rates include GST as shown at booking.

Your stay

  • Guests are responsible for damage to hotel property and may be charged for it.
  • Please keep valuables safe. The hotel is not responsible for items left in rooms.
  • Please respect other guests and keep noise low at night.
